House Panel Approves $66.4 Billion DHS Bill For FY ’26 On Party Line Vote

The House Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee on Monday evening approved a $66.4 billion discretionary budget for the Department of Homeland Security in fiscal year 2026, 4 percent above the Trump administration’s $63.6 billion request. The panel’s recommendation was approved by an eight to four vote with Republicans in favor and Democrats opposed. The bill goes to the full committee for a markup on Thursday.
