By Emelie Rutherford A House panel approved Pentagon budget legislation May 12 that calls for boosting the White House's request for missile-defense programs by hundreds of millions of dollars. The House Armed Services Strategic Forces subcommittee marked up and approved its portion of the Defense Department's fiscal year 2011 defense authorization legislation in a mainly non-contentious bill-writing session.
