HII [HII] launched the first Flight II San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship, the future USS Harrisburg (LPD-30), on Oct. 5 at its Pascagoula, Miss., shipyard. The process entailed having the HII Ingalls Shipbuilding division team transition the ship from land to the company’s floating dry dock via translation railcars.
