GD Wins $101 Million In Navy Contracts For Submarine Acoustic Detection And Command And Control System

The U.S. Navy awarded General Dynamics [GD] two awards totaling $101 million for both submarine acoustic detection capabilities and the Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S), the Department of Defense announced Thursday.The Naval Sea Systems Command specifically awarded GD’s Electric Boat Corp. $64.2 million for a large vertical array (LVA) fixture, LVA first article, and provisioned item orders.The LVA helps deliver acoustic detection capabilities to submarines.
