GD Opens 2015 With Strong First Quarter

Bolstered by higher profits in each of its operating segments, General Dynamics [GD] on Wednesday posted strong financial results in the first quarter with top and bottom line increases to begin the year.Net income jumped 20 percent to $716 million, $2.14 earnings per share (EPS), from $595 million ($1.71 EPS) a year ago, whooping consensus estimates by 22 cents per share.
