F-18 Deal Imminent After Obama Approval

By Emelie Rutherford The Pentagon and Boeing [BA] are expected to enter in a long-awaited multi-year contract for F/A-18 fighter jets this week, now that President Barack Obama signed enabling legislation. Obama signed the "Multiyear Procurement Authority for Aircraft Contracts" bill into law yesterday, according to the White House. Congressional aides said yesterday they were waiting for word of the contract award, which is typically granted three days after notifying Congress.
