Federal engineering services company Engility Holdings [EGL] launched their new cloud computing enterprise Cloud ASCEND on Wednesday aimed at providing modernization services to federal agencies, specifically the Department of Defense and the intelligence community.
Engility’s Cloud ASCEND will provide end-to-end solution cloud computing optimization aimed specifically at meeting the needs of highly-secure government operations.
The new system is meant to combine the latest cloud tools with Engility’s proprietary methods and experts to move towards seamless, secure digital transformation, according to a statement from the company.
“While many organizations and agencies recognize that they need to migrate to the cloud, they are often hindered by not knowing when and how to get started,” Engility Director of Cloud Solutions Kevin Jackson said in a statement. “The process we use in the Cloud ASCEND solution delivers a clear, data-driven path to the cloud and ensures mission performance so that customers migrate with confidence”
Cloud ASCEND utilizes several components including IBM brokerage services to assess cloud computing readiness, software company Burstorm to optimize cloud infrastructure, software developer Sequioa’s Combine system to test and develop models and CSA STARwatch to manage security compliance and meet industry standards.
