Elbit Wins $106 Million Brazilian Contract for C-1A Upgrade

The Brazilian Navy awarded Elbit Systems [ESLT] a $106-million subcontract for the upgrade of four Grumman C-1A aircraft, the company said on Tuesday.The prime contract is held by Marsh Aviation Company with this subcontract to be performed over five years.The upgrade order includes aircraft return to service, engine replacement, installation and integration of new avionics (Glass Cockpit), new communication systems and ECS systems, and air-to-air refueling capabilities.Upon being upgraded, the Grumman C-1A aircraft will be designated as KC-2 COD/AAR (Carrier-On-Board/Air-to-Air…
