The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is soliciting white papers to integrate selectable passive and non-passive metal detection technology into a single unit or instrument that is currently made or can easily be constructed. The instrument should weigh less than 2.5 pounds, be one-man portable, and be able to detect very small amounts of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
