The Pentagon and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) said Tuesday they have licensed a group of 13 investment funds for a project to leverage private capital to help drive billions of dollars to small companies working on critical technologies for national defense. DoD said the initial group approved for the Small Business Investment Company Critical Technology (SBICCT) Initiative plans to collectively raise $1.8 billion in private capital that will be invested into over a thousand portfolio companies to help…
