DNI Establishes National Counterintelligence and Security Center

James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, announced the establishment of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC) on Dec. 1, a statement from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) said. National Counterintelligence Executive (NCIX) William “Bill” Evanina will adopt the additional role as the NCSC Director. The NCSC is to perform the counterintelligence responsibilities of the NCIX and the Office of the National Counterintelligence, fulfilling their responsibilities as outlined in the Counterintelligence Enhancement Act of 2002.…
