DHS Releases $56 Million In Recovery Funds For Airport Security

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) yesterday said it has released $56 million in Recovery Act funding for several airport security projects, including over $45 million for a new inline baggage screening system at Charlotte (N.C.) Douglas International Airport. DHS is providing $3.1 million to St. Louis International Airport for the design and upgrade of an inline baggage screening system in Terminals One and Two. Orlando (Fla.) International Airport is receiving $7.5 million to expand its close circuit television system…
