By Calvin Biesecker The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will allocate $700 million to checked baggage explosive detection systems (EDS) and $300 million to checkpoint screening systems from the $1 billion that Congress recently appropriated for aviation security in the multi-billion dollar economic recovery package, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said yesterday.
