DARPA Awards Vencore $17.7 Million In Contracts To Research Cyber Defenses Against DDoS Attacks

The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) awarded Vencore Inc. multiple contracts worth $17.7 million to deliver research on cyber defenses against distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, the company said Thursday.The company’s research arm, Vencore Labs, will perform the contracts as part of DARPA’s Extreme DDoS Defense (XD3) program over the next three years. The XD3 program aims to develop completely new DDoS defenses that afford greater resilience across a range of DDoS attacks than existing approaches.DDoS attacks…
