Curtiss-Wright Corp. [CW] this week said it has completed its acquisition of the assets of German chemical manufacturer BASF Corp.‘s Surface Technologies business, expanding its capabilities in coatings technology.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The BASF unit had $29 million in sales last year.

The Surface Technologies business operates from three facilities in the United States and supplies thermal spray coatings for the aerospace and power generation markets. The unit will become part of Curtiss-Wright’s Metal Treatment segment.
