IDSS Nabs International Contract for Checkpoint CT System

Integrated Defense and Security Solutions (IDSS) says it has received a contract from Mira Technologies Group to provide its DETECT 1000 computed tomography (CT)-based scanner for use at Craiova International Airport in Romania. Under the contract, IDSS will also provide the TRS BREVA automatic tray return system supplied by Italy’s

GILARDONI S.p.A. IDSS says the DETECT 1000 integrated with the BREVA will improve capacity at Craiova Airport while enhancing security and safety. The integrated system includes an advanced data collection package such as RFID readers and cameras to ensure effective processing of all passengers. IDSS is based in Massachusetts. Mira is a Romanian company. The DETECT 1000 system is currently in use at Boston Logan International Airport, the Transportation Security Administration’s Innovation Lane at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Southwest Florida International Airport, Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Bermuda L.F. Wade International Airport, and Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Navy Awards CACI $81M Task Order for C-UAS R&D, Sustainment

The Naval Surface Warfare Center has awarded CACI International [CACI] a five-year $80.5 million task order t provide engineering research and development (R&D) of mission technology to enhance the capabilities of aircraft mission systems for counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS). Under the task order, CACI says it will modernize components and systems on the EP-3E and P-8A manned aircraft and the MQ-8 and MQ-25 unmanned aircraft for the Navy, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard. “Backed by the world’s largest threat signals library and more than 1,200 systems deployed globally, CACI offers technology for any C-UAS challenge or mission,” says John Mengucci, CACI’s president and CEO. “Working with the Navy, we will continue to provide the most advanced capabilities to detect, track, and defeat emerging threats to our national security, protecting people and places in any environment.” The contract was awarded under the Defense Department Information Analysis Center’s multiple-award contract.
