Lawmakers on the Hill want to know if President Trump’s declared national emergency could affect key military construction projects, including future basing for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Trump announced Friday his intent to use a combination of funding sources to build additional barriers along the U.S.-Mexico border, including $3.6 billion in military construction, or MILCON funds.
