Coast Guard Awards Bollinger $79 Million For Two FRCs

The Coast Guard has exercised a contract option with Bollinger Shipyards for the construction of two Fast Response Cutters (FRCs) for $79.2 million, bringing to 32 the number of Sentinel-class vessels the service has ordered from the shipbuilder.The delivery order is the final contract option in Phase I of the FRC program, which last Friday reentered a new competitive phase with the release of a Request for Proposals to build the remaining 26 vessels to fulfill the Coast Guard’s requirement…
