Chenevert Elected As UTC’s Next Chairman

United Technologies Corp. [UTX] yesterday said that Louis Chenevert, the company's president and CEO, has been elected to succeed George David as chairman of the company beginning Jan. 1, 2010. Chenevert, 52, became president of UTC and a board member in 2006, initiating the leadership transition at the multi-industrial company. He succeeded David, 67, as CEO last year.
