BAE Names King CEO; Completes Tenix Defence Acquisition

United Kingdom-based BAE Systems last Friday named Ian King to be its next Chief Executive beginning Sept. 1 following the planned retirement of Mike Turner. King, who is currently BAE's chief operating officer (COO) for its U.K. and Rest of World businesses, was originally with the former Marconi Corp., which was acquired by BAE in 1999. King has been COO of the U.K. and Rest of World Operations, which has its largest operations in Saudi Arabia and Australia, since January…
