BAE Systems on June 5 announced the incorporation of new motion-capture intelligence capabilities for its line of Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP) software to increase the ability of identifying threats without the need for manual analysis.
BAE’s Movement Intelligence (MOVINT) will provide multi-tracking analytical capabilities for its various GXP products used by security and military agencies for counter-terrorism operations, drug enforcement tactics and infrastructure protection.
MOVINT is aimed at removing the need for analysts to conduct tedious monitoring and reviewing of large amounts of data and images to determine potential intelligence threats.
Instead, the system incorporates multi-tracking analytics to interpret movement and suspicious activity collected from video, radar, and motion-sense data to more efficiently identify potential areas of interest. The software allows analysts to use target object classification, real-time event detection and automated alerts to identify threats in a more rapid manner.
“Our advanced Movement Intelligence capabilities allow users to monitor multiple feeds across many regions,” General Manager of BAE’s GXP group Dana Poirier said in a statement. “Advanced MOVINT and tracking analytics enable our customers to identify critical targets, activities, and emerging situations much more quickly and effectively than previous intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance solutions.”
MOVINT is now incorporated into BAE software products including GXP InMotion, a streamlined video analysis suite, and SOCET GXP, an advanced geospatial intelligence solution meant for satellite imaging.
