Autonomy Driving Startup Forterra Raises $75 Million For Tech Acceleration

Self-driving technology startup Forterra on Tuesday said it has raised $75 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round to accelerate its efforts for defense and industrial customers, and lower costs. The new capital allows Forterra to increase hiring, continue investing in research and development, conduct more deployments of its self-driving technology, scale manufacturing, and lower the costs of the autonomy technology, Scott Sanders, the company’s chief growth officer, told Defense Daily last week ahead of the announcement.
