ATK Reports Strong FY’09 Second Quarter Earnings

By Ann Roosevelt ATK [ATK] yesterday reported strong second quarter fiscal year 2009 earnings, driven by a 27 percent rise in net income for the quarter to $65 million. The company also had sales for the quarter of $1.1 billion, a six percent increase over the prior year and improved margins across the business at 11 percent, up from the previous year's quarterly performance of 10.2 percent.
