Army Picks Nine Teams For Degraded Visual Environment Mitigation Program Ground Testing

The Army on Sept. 29 chose nine teams to participate in ground tests of sensors and sensor suites designed to help helicopter pilots see through degraded visual environments (DVE), a leading contributor to rotorcraft accidents and reduced operational effectiveness, the Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) said. Testing is planned during January and February 2015 at Yuma Proving Ground, Ariz.
