Army Buys More Stryker Vehicles With Double V Hulls

General Dynamics [GD] yesterday said the Army awarded it a $243 million contract to produce and deliver an additional 115 Stryker combat vehicles equipped with double V hulls (DVH). The double-V hull was developed on an accelerated timeline to provide soldiers riding in Stryker vehicles increased protection from the effects of roadside mines and improvised explosive devices.
