Army Buys Lockheed Martin GyroLink System For MRAPs

Lockheed Martin [LMT] yesterday said it was awarded a $21.4 million contract from the Army for its commercial GyroLink™ system for the Remote-Vehicle Optics Sensor System (R-VOSS) program. The equipment will be produced at the Lockheed Martin Gyrocam Systems facility in Sarasota, Fla., and be installed on MRAP vehicles starting in July 2012.
