Army Awards AM General $428 Million Contract For Humvee Configured Ambulances

AM General was awarded a firm-fixed-price, multi-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract worth over $428 million by the Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard for new M997A3 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (Humvees) Ambulance Chassis Vehicles for domestic disaster relief efforts, the company said Tuesday."We are pleased to continue to support the active and future use of the more than 160,000 [Humvees] currently in service as part of U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Reserves and National Guard fleets,” Chris Vanslager, AM General…
