Appropriators Fund More Multi-Years For Munitions, But Not All Of DoD’s ‘Very Late’ Request

The final fiscal year 2026 defense spending bill approves eight critical munitions for multi-year contracts, while the list does not cover the entirety of a larger request proposed by the Pentagon submitted late last year to Congress.  The bill supports billions of dollars to award multi-year procurement contracts for PAC-3 MSE missiles, THAAD interceptors, Standard Missile-6, Tomahawk cruise missiles, Long-Range Anti-Ship Missiles (LRASM), Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile Extended Range (JASSM-ER), Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missiles (AMRAAM) and SM-3…
