Apache Sustainment For Australia Given State Department Nod

The State Department last Friday approved a potential $300 million foreign military sale (FMS) to Australia for sustainment support services for the country’s fleet of AH-64E Apache armed reconnaissance helicopters. Boeing [BA], which manufactures the Apache, and Lockheed Martin [LMT] are the principal contractors for the FMS deal, which does not require offset agreements. Australia in 2021 selected the AH-64E and related engines, missiles, and equipment over an Airbus offering for its armed reconnaissance fleet. That deal included 29 Apaches.…
