Amendment To House Defense Bill Would Allow DoD Office To Acquire Equity In Companies

A relatively new Defense Department office whose goal is to attract private capital to critical areas of the defense industrial base that suffer from a lack of investment would be allowed to acquire equity stakes in these companies if a provision in the House’s version of the fiscal year 2026 defense authorization bill becomes law.
