Airbus Partners With Australia’s DSTO To Improve Aircraft Protection

Airbus Defence and Space partnered with the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) of the Australian Ministry of Defence to improve the protection of wide-body aircraft and helicopters in a joint development program, the company said on Feb. 25.The program had Airbus and DSTO upgrade the Missile Launch Detection Systems (MILDS) AN/AAR-60 Block II Missile Approach Warning system with a Hostile Fire Indication (HFI) capability.
