AeroVironment Reports Strong Second Quarter, UAS Demand Is Strong

(AVAV) Dec. 3 reported financial results for its second quarter with revenue of $65.8 million, up 22 percent over second quarter fiscal 2008 revenue of $53.7 million. The revenue increase resulted from increased sales in AV's Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) segment of $9.9 million and Efficient Energy Systems (EES) segment of $2.2 million.
