Oshkosh Corp. [OSK] yesterday reported higher net income and sales in its second quarter driven by demand for access equipment and military trucks, which more than offset weak performances in its emergency and commercial businesses. Net income increased 43 percent to $72.6 million, 97 cents earnings per share (EPS), versus $50.9 million (68 cents EPS) a year ago. Sales increased 7 percent to $1.8 billion from $1.7 billion.
