Accenture [ACN] on Monday said it has agreed to acquire federal information technology solutions provider Agilex Technologies, strengthening its capabilities in analytics, cloud and mobility solutions.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in April following regulatory approvals. Agilex will become part of Accenture’s Federal Services (AFS) division.

“Acquiring Agilex will help AFS further solidify our position as an innovative leader in the federal market,” David Moskovitz, chief executive of AFS, said in a statement. “Combining our digital capabilities and agile methods will accelerate our ability to help clients harness the power of emerging digital technologies and rapid, predictable systems deployment for the federal government’s most complex challenges.”

Jay Nussbaum, co-founder and vice chairman of Agilex, said in a statement that by combining his company with AFS it can “scale its capabilities more rapidly to have an even bigger impact across government.”

In 2014 the Washington Business Journal ranked Agilex as one of the Washington, D.C. area’s 50 fastest growing companies for the fifth consecutive year. WBJ says that in 2013 Agilex had $140 million in sales and 569 employees.

Agilex is based in Northern Virginia and currently has about 800 employees.
