X-Bow Raises $70 Million In New Investment Round That Includes Boeing For First Time

X-Bow Systems on Wednesday said it has completed the initial close of a Series B round that raised more than $70 million and includes Lockheed Martin [LMT], an existing investor in the startup, and, for the first time, Boeing [BA]. The new venture funding will go toward accelerating X-Bow’s development of its hypersonic vehicles, tactical and strategic solid rocket motors, and the completion of its “gigafactory complex” in Luling, Texas, where it tests rocket motors and plans to build them…
