White House Threatens To Veto House Sequestration Bill

The White House threatened to veto a bill taking aim at so-called sequestration budget cuts that the Republican-led House plans to debate today. The National Security and Job Protection Act, filed by Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), calls for Obama to create a plan to stop the sequestration budget cuts and submit it to Congress by Oct. 15. The bill also is intended to work with other legislation to prevent some or all of the sequestration cuts from being made, though…
