TSA To Ramp Up Purchases of Checkpoint Security Equipment

By Calvin Biesecker Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Chief Kip Hawley said on Tuesday that his agency this year will order another 580 Advanced Technology (AT) X-Ray machines and at least 30 more millimeter wave whole body imaging systems for deployment at airport security checkpoints. TSA last year ordered 250 X-Ray AT machines split equally between OSI Systems [OSIS] and Britain's Smiths Detection.
