The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Information regarding the availability of systems and capabilities related to the agency’s Check Point Targeted Detection System (CPTDS) program. The initial goal of the CPTDS program is the acquisition of a system capable of detecting threat objects that might be concealed in casts, headwear or prosthetic devices without requiring passengers to remove their casts, headwear or prosthetic devices for further inspection, or be placed in contorted, dangerous or uncomfortable positions.
