TSA Issues RFI for Stand-Off Remote Detection

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for market research of stand-off and remote detection systems capable of screening the following targets for potential improvised explosive devices: baggage and packages in the possession of individuals; unattended baggage; and individuals. The preliminary goal for the system is the capability to detect and alert TSA to the presence of potential IEDs with minimal impact on the individual and without requiring the individual to pause or divest.
