Smiths Detection Launches Handheld Explosives Trace DetectorSmiths Detection has introduced TRACE-PRO, a compact, handheld, ruggedized, non-radioactive explosives trace detector (ETD) for mobile screening. Smiths say that TRACE-PRO provides identification of common explosives in less than 10 seconds. The device includes a built-in camera and GPS to facilitate evidence collection by allowing the user to record and store data in the immediate location of the suspect substance.
