Space Systems/Loral Wins Air Force Study Contract

Space Systems/Loral [LORL] recently won a $1.5 million study contract from the Air Force's Space and Missile Systems Center's MILSATCOM Systems Directorate, the company said. The company will evaluate how commercial technologies and best practices fit military communications needs. The Air Force said that the goal of the study is to assess the application of commercial-like acquisition approaches to enhance affordability, reduce delivery time and expand the space industrial base, Space Systems/Loral said.
