
South Korea’s Hanwha Ocean last week successfully completed its first significant maintenance work on a U.S. Navy replenishment ship in a seven-month maintenance regular overhaul (ROH). The ROH work on the USNS Wally Shirra (T-AKE 8) was the first time a South Korean shipyard bid and won this type of maintenance contract of this sale for a Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessel.
