Senate Appropriators Want USAF to Improve Budget Process, Add F-15EXs and C-130Js to USAF Request

Senate appropriators in a report on their version of the fiscal 2025 defense bill criticize the U.S. Air Force for submitting budget requests containing several billion dollars in what the appropriators call "unexecutable and unjustified" funding. Nevertheless, they recommended adding $565 million in fiscal 2025 for six Boeing [BA] F-15EX fighters for the Air Force--to bring the total fiscal 2025 buy to 24--and $1.3 billion more for nine Lockheed Martin [LMT] C-130J transports that the Air Force did not ask…
