SDA Shifts, Goes with Two Contractors, Instead of One, for T2TL-Gamma

The Space Development Agency (SDA) has changed its plan to go with one contractor for the Gamma satellites of the Tranche 2-Transport Layer (T2TL). On Friday, SDA said that York Space Systems had received a $170 million SDA Other Transaction Authority (OTA) rapid prototyping contract and Terran Orbital [LLAP] a $254 million one to supply 10 Gamma communications satellites each for the second tranche of SDA's Transport Layer (Defense Daily, Aug. 16).
