Saab To Open New Munitions Production Facility In Michigan

Swedish aerospace and defense firm Saab will open a new munitions production facility in Grayling, Michigan, the company said on Tuesday. Saab said the facility will focus on final assembly and integration of shoulder-fired munitions and precision fire systems, with groundbreaking to take place in late 2024 and initial manufacturing slated to begin in early 2026. “Given current global security challenges, it is critical the United States strengthens its national defense capacity.
