The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has installed two Reveal Imaging Technologies CT-80 explosives detection systems to screen checked baggage at Evansville Regional Airport in Indiana. The systems are installed in the basement of the airport and conveyors at the ticket counters take bags to that location, TSA tells TR2. “The airport is very pleased with TSA’s decision to install this equipment as it offers our passengers a quicker and easier check in process in addition to improving overall security,” says Dianna Kissel, Evansville Airport’s marketing manager. As of June 2009 TSA had deployed 270 Reveal EDS systems at 99 airports. Evansville was the 97th airport to receive the machines.
