The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has awarded Raytheon [RTN] an $88 million task order under the Security Equipment Integration Services (SEIS) contract to install passenger checkpoint screening equipment at airports nationwide. The performance period under the task order began on March 24 and runs for one year. Work under the order coves Advanced Imaging Technology machines, Advanced Technology X-Ray units, and Bottled Liquid Scanners. The task order is the second for Raytheon under the SEIS contract. Last fall TSA awarded the company an $11 million task order (TR2, Oct. 28, 2009). In addition to Raytheon, Boeing [BA], Lockheed Martin [LMT], and Science Applications International Corp. [SAI] were also selected by TSA to compete for task orders under the SEIS contract. Raytheon Technical Services Co. LLC is responsible for the work under SEIS.
