Raytheon [RTN] yesterday said its radio control interconnection technology has received SAFETY Act approval by the Department of Homeland Security, which means the company gets legal liability protections as a supplier of the systems. The company's audio control unit technology provides public safety agencies a way to interconnect existing radio equipment with other radio systems operating on different frequencies.
