A Raytheon [RTN] system has been authorized to operate at the Top Secret/SCI and Below Interoperability (TSABI) level, the company said yesterday.
“Providing our warfighters with a unified operational picture is essential in evaluating events in real time so they can execute their missions effectively,” Ed Hammersla, chief operating officer, Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions, said in a statement.
Known as SecureOfficer Trusted Gateway System(tm), TGS supports organizations whose missions require rapid, multidirectional transfer of any data type between numerous security levels.
The Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) worked with Raytheon to bring its system through the TSABI certification and accreditation process, which will allow the military to take advantage of the newest innovations in transfer solutions and realize significant cost savings.
“For nearly two decades, we’ve been working with our military customer to provide cross domain solutions that enable users to access and distribute mission-critical information,” Hammersla said. “The DCGS-A’s implementation of TGS, which provides valuable tactical information to the warfighter, was a key element in obtaining TSABI certification,” he added.
DCGS-A is the premier platform program for enterprise enablement of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) information technology assets. It is the Army’s ground portion of a joint intelligence, network-centric enterprise that unifies collection, processing, analysis, extraction, query and visualization of ISR capabilities for the tactical environment.
