COLUMBIA, Md., April 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — IT-CNP’s cloud hosting division, GovDataHosting, has achieved the FedRAMP High Impact Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO) through the Joint Authorization Board (JAB). A JAB High Impact P-ATO demonstrates IT-CNP’s cloud service offerings have undergone a vigorous security review by DOD, DHS and GSA representatives.

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) released its High Impact Baseline Requirements in 2016. With over 400 security controls, a FedRAMP High baseline authorization clearly indicates to Federal agencies that a certified cloud provider has been properly vetted to handle highly sensitive workloads, including Personal Identifiable Information (PII), Protected Health Information (PHI), sensitive financial information, law enforcement data, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

According to the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Publication 199, sensitive data is categorized as “High Impact” when its potential unauthorized disclosure, unauthorized modification, or disruption could cause severe or catastrophic adverse effect or damage to organizational assets, organizational operations, or individuals.

“We are honored to carry this elite distinction. The FedRAMP High Impact P-ATO is a reaffirmation of our commitment to provide highly secure, lower cost government grade cloud infrastructure to government clients with simple, swift and compliant full-service cloud management and security compliance services,” said Sal Baldwin, President of GovDataHosting parent company IT-CNP, Inc. “We look forward to further aiding our federal agency clients, federal contractors and other public sector agencies by offering a viable cloud infrastructure choice while effectively safeguarding their mission critical systems and sensitive information in the cloud.”

Approximately 80 percent of federal agency information is categorized as Low or Moderate Impact, representing about 50 percent of the Federal IT spending. Availability of FedRAMP High Impact certified cloud vendors essentially opens the remaining half of Federal IT spending to the vast possibilities of government cloud.
